Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how PDF Toolbox handles information when you use the PDF Toolbox mobile application.

PDF Toolbox helps you merge, split, extract, compress, lock, unlock, scan, sign, preview, save, and share PDF documents on your iPhone or iPad.

Local PDF Processing

PDF Toolbox performs its core PDF tools locally on your device. Your documents are processed on-device so you can create a new PDF copy, preview the result, then save or share it.

PDF Toolbox does not upload your PDFs, scanned documents, images, signatures, passwords, or generated files to servers operated by us.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not operate a backend that collects or stores your documents or personal file contents. In particular, we do not collect:

• Your PDF files or generated PDF copies
• Photos or images you convert into PDFs
• Scanned document images
• Passwords used to lock or unlock PDFs
• Signatures you draw or place in documents
• File names, page contents, or document text from your PDFs

Camera Access

PDF Toolbox may ask for camera access for the Scan to PDF feature. Camera access is used only so you can capture paper documents and turn them into PDFs.

Camera access is controlled by your device. You can deny or revoke camera access at any time in your iPhone or iPad settings. If camera access is disabled, Scan to PDF will not be able to capture new document scans.

Advertising

PDF Toolbox uses Google AdMob to display ads. Because AdMob is a third-party advertising service, Google and its advertising partners may collect or use certain information from your device to provide, measure, and improve ads.

This may include information such as device identifiers, IP address, ad interaction data, and other information described by Google. Advertising-related information is handled by Google according to Google's own policies.

PDF Toolbox does not share your PDF files, scanned documents, signatures, or document passwords with Google AdMob.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your PDF documents, images, scans, signatures, or passwords with third parties through servers operated by us.

Third-party advertising services, including Google AdMob, may process advertising-related information as described above and in their own privacy policies.

Your Choices

You can manage camera permission through your device settings. You may also be able to manage advertising personalization through your device settings or Google advertising settings, depending on your platform and region.

You control when to save or share generated PDFs. Sharing a PDF uses the sharing options you choose on your device.

Data Security

Because PDF Toolbox works locally for its core PDF tools and does not upload your documents to servers operated by us, the app reduces privacy risks associated with remote document storage. You should still keep your device secure and use the privacy controls provided by your operating system.

Children's Privacy

PDF Toolbox is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account, and we do not operate a backend that stores user documents or personal file contents.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are made, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
