sWipe Privacy Policy
Effective date: June 11, 2026
sWipe does not collect, sell, or store your personal data on servers operated by us. Your photos stay on your device.
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how sWipe handles information when you use the sWipe mobile application.
sWipe is a photo-cleanup app that helps you review your photo library, mark photos for deletion, identify nearby duplicate or similar photos, and resume review progress across launches.
Information we do not collect
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate a backend server that stores your photos, review decisions, device data, or personal details.
We do not directly collect, sell, rent, or share personal information about you.
Photo library access
sWipe requires access to your photo gallery so the app can display photos for cleanup, help you review them, identify duplicate or similar photos, and request deletion of photos you choose to delete.
- Your photos stay on your device. sWipe does not upload your photos to servers operated by us.
- Deletion is user-directed. sWipe helps you mark photos and request deletion only for photos you choose.
- Permission can be changed. You can change or revoke photo access at any time in your device settings.
Local app data
sWipe may save review progress, marked-photo state, settings, and similar app state locally on your device. This allows you to pause and resume cleanup without losing your place.
This local app data is not stored on any server operated by us. If you delete the app, your device may remove this local app data according to the operating system's normal behavior.
Advertising
sWipe uses Google AdMob to show banner ads. Because AdMob is a third-party advertising service, Google and its advertising partners may collect or use information from your device to provide, measure, and improve ads.
This may include information such as device identifiers, IP address, ad interactions, and other identifiers or technologies used by Google advertising services. This data is handled by Google according to Google's own policies.
You can learn more about how Google uses information from apps that use its services at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Data sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your photos or app review decisions with third parties through servers operated by us.
Third-party advertising services, including Google AdMob, may process information as described in the Advertising section above and in their own privacy policies.
Your choices
You can control photo access through your device settings. You may also be able to control advertising personalization through your device settings or Google advertising settings, depending on your platform and region.
Free app
sWipe is free to use. There are no hidden paid features, no subscription paywall, and no hidden fee.
Children's privacy
sWipe is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because we do not operate user accounts or our own data-collection server, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app changes, if advertising behavior changes, or if legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when this policy changes.
